| So She Loves Me's been moved back a week *rolls eyes*
Go see Rent now. it was love.
| Carolyn sent me this *fabulous* site filled with gorgeous Beatles icons... but I can't save them to my computer and they don't have direct linking. So if anyone can wave their magic wands and change the files on the icons at this site to something I can use... (jpg, png etc)...
In the words of Paul McCartney-
"I will hold you for as long as you like, I'll love you for the rest of my life."
Here's the site... http://www.onthefringe.org/icon/misc_music_beatles.php
| So my interview with Quixote Quest was last night.
I was incredibly impressed with it.
First off, they weren't screening me, I am screening them. which I like. It's entirely my call and my parents call what we're gonna do (because it's all spread out over Camden County).
Secondly, this organization has exactly my sense of humor! They have a bunch of rituals and stuff (Frank kept saying, "I know that makes us sound like a cult," over and over). My favorite is this scarf ritual which, I think, comes when you get 100 hours of volunteering or "the finale" (the last day) or something. What happens is the person next to you has a scarf, and then they put something in the scarf/say something that reminds them of you. Then it goes all the way around the circle and every single person in the club does the same thing, and when it finally comes back you have a big pile of stuff in this scarf.
And third, they have some awesome places to volunteer! I haven't seen the full list yet, but Frank mentioned the following things-
- Nursing Homes (not for me. I volunteered at nursing homes before) - No-Kill Animal Shelters (yeah, I could see myself there.) - Helping with Disadvantaged/mentally handicapped kids (ditto.) - the AIDS coalition in Camden County (their office is actually in this building. It's where I interviewed) and my personal fave, so far - working with "medically fragile kids (kids that can't leave the hospital, basically. I've always wanted to do that!)

Roughly 9 hours and 40 minutes until Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is released!!! Yesssssssssss
Ever since the cat took up the fiddle that cow's been jumpy...
So please explain to me why MY group of friends were busted for being noisy when we were seriously trying to watch Series of Unfortunate Events in the park?
C-Wood cops are crazy. They even almost kicked that guy who's friends with Ralph out.
I have now latsa dough. Danke, Valerie Frick and Mike Devlin, for started the Camden Children's Garden, for asking Mum for that pic of Viv's party there, for offering me a volunteer post, for offering me a summer job, and for giving me my first-ever paycheck! $248.17!!!
| WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! PREZZIES FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!!!!
1. (from me to... well, me) I went to Abbie Road and bought a Ravi Shankar CD (wait, wait, it gets better) which was a HOMAGE TO GAHNDI. ON SITARS. I was a very happy kiddy until I found out that the Abbie Road guy no longer stocks Beatles stuff... at all.
2. my uncle Steve went to Haddonfield with my family and bought me this BEAUTIFUL drawing of John. (I was working... what else?)
The best for last...
3. my Aunt Mary bought me this bozed set thing from the NY times where it includes EVERY article they have ever printed about the Beatles- with the other stuff on each page. There are ads for the Producers, obituaries of Brian, John and Paul, reviews of all the films, and a lot more. it's EIGHTY PAGES LONG.
